Panama, a different island for each day of the year

That’s right, you heard right. This nation nestled in the heart of the Caribbean is able to offer its tourists a visit to a different and unique island for every day of the year. This attraction of the Panamanian nature goes by the name of the archipelago of San Blas, also known among the natives as the Mulatas. It is composed of 365 small islands and islets along the north coast, east of the famous Panama Canal.

Panama’s tourist offer goes far beyond being an important international business center with great commercial links across the planet. Its natural wealth has little to envy such well known and popular tourist areas as the Maldives terms. Within the islands of San Blas travelers will have no difficulty finding truly postcard views and intense turquoise waters, as well as beaches of white sparkling sand.

We recommend that you only take a minute of your daily web surfing time to see the level of “paradise” we are referring to on a photograph. One thing to note is that within these 365 islands, only 80 are inhabited. Their residents are the indigenous Guna, a group belonging to the region of Guna Yala of Panama’s coast. An ethnic group known, among other things, for their original decorative art on the human body itself. These people, aside from having the privilege of enjoying these lands, are also responsible for their preservation and tourism exploitation.

Bear in ming the aforementioned data we gave you on the inhabited islands and islets. This leaves 285 different places in which to experience first hand many tourists’ recurring fantasy: “If I were on a desert island all by myself, I would bring …”

What we suggest is that you bring your mobile phones, tablets and other electronic devices well charged because if you finally decide to dive into the archipelago of San Blas, you won’t find many plugs and sockets. Another thing, besides having your devices charged, we also recommend that you leave as much free space on your memory cards as possible, because you will go crazy taking pictures. The beauty of the place is absolutely ravishing.

This is a very affordable destination for any pocket, meaning you don’t need to have one of those famous offshore accounts in order to enjoy the wonders of San Blas and its islands. To reach this place you can take different internal flights from Panama City and it is advisable to stay in hotels made with pencas, in the style of the traditional houses of the Gunas, in tune with the typical Caribbean landscape.
