Family Fun in Alcudia

Breath-taking coastline, gleaming white beaches, and amazing wildlife awaits on the glorious gem of an island that is Majorca – and at BelleVue Club Alcudia, we want to help you get right to the heart of what makes the north of Majorca such a special place to visit.

That’s why we’re one of the first hotels to make use of a brand new smartphone app, which gives us the power to put our invaluable local knowledge right into the palm of your hand. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be releasing a series of free, digital travel itineraries, which are designed to take you on bespoke tours of the island.

You can follow our suggestions to the letter, or pick and choose your favourite activities from our suggestions – either way, you’ll be taking advantage of some great hints and tips, which you can use to make planning your time here effortless.

All you need to do is download the smartphone app, fire up your favourite itinerary, and follow the instructions to start your tour of choice.

Whether you’re travelling to celebrate an anniversary, for work, or embarking on an unforgettable family holiday together, we’ll have an itinerary to suit you.

The first one is perfect if you’re bringing the kids along. Majorca’s one of Europe’s greatest family destinations, and there’s always something new waiting around the corner to excite and inspire little minds. So take the stress out of your stay, by following our suggestions for a great family day out, and downloading the itinerary here.

This itinerary covers a single day in the area, and if you follow it strictly, you’ll be torpedoing down hair-raising waterslides, watching rainbow-coloured colonies of fish gliding past your boat’s glass window, and wandering above the town along rustic medieval walls – all in a single day. With an itinerary that’s this action-packed, we’ve no time to waste, so let’s get going!

We start by getting up early and setting sail on a bite-sized nautical adventure. Our two-hour boat trip sails north out of Port D’Alcudia, and gives a great view of the jutting rock formations, and beautiful beaches that line the northern coastline. Don’t forget to keep a lookout for the rubbery noses of dolphins, who like to visit the shoreline to play in the warm water.

Once you’ve docked, enjoy some dinner on the soft sand that lines Playa de Alcudia beach. You’ll be tempted to stay all day, with the sun smothering your face and the kids frolicking in the sand, but there’ll be plenty of time for beach-bumming later on, so drag yourselves away and head down to the S’Albufera Wetlands.

An educational and exciting visit awaits, as you see clouds of birds sweeping and swirling through the sky, and spot long-legged herons wading through the wetland’s reedy waters, in this park that blooms with life and activity.

Or, you may want to give the wetlands a miss, and make a splash at Hidropark. There’s no better way to cool off from Majorca’s gorgeous sunshine than by lying back and drifting in the lazy river’s gentle flow – or by leaping into the crashing crests of the wave pool. If you want to raise the temperature, then careering down the heart-stopping slides of this local water park will provide plenty of thrills. Water slide

We’ve crammed a lot in, so in the evening, we’ll slow the pace with a relaxed meal by the port, before taking a stroll around the castles and Roman ruins of the Old Town. You’ll see the buildings glowing gently, as the sun begins to set over the city, drawing an end to our fun-filled family adventure in Alcudia – well, until the next morning that is…
