Miss Tourism Spain 2013



Last September 28th, on the spectacular island of Mallorca, 1st Miss Tourism Spain Contest was held.

The Hotel BelleVue Club (Alcudia), of BlueBay Group, was the main venue where also the candidates, artists, press and organizers stayed. After the disappearance of Miss Spain, the Synetics Events company, owner of the rights to the Balearic contest for 16 years, has launched this new project, installing the Miss Tourism Spain headquarters in Mallorca.

Over the period of 10 days, the candidates who represent the 19 autonomous communities, lived according to a busy schedule full of activities, while enjoying a short holiday. After days of rehaersals, walkways, beauty sessions and visits to the island, on Friday 27, the Election of Miss Congeniality was held and personal interviews with the jury were conducted in the BelleVue Club.

The fashion runway installed in the Port of Alcudia hosted the Finale Gala on the night of Saturday 28th. María Sierra, the representative of Miss Tourism Cantabria, was elected Miss Tourism Spain 2013. The Majorcan Miss Illes Balears, Natalia Ferrer, and Lorena Abrines, representative of Miss Tourism Aragon, were elected First and Second Runner Up.

BlueBay Group awarded the winner of Miss Tourism Spain 2013 with a 1 week stay All Included for 2 persons at  BlueBay Grand Esmeralda hotel in the Mayan Riviera (Mexico). BlueBay also awarded the 1st and 2nd runner up and the rest of the elected Misses: Nashma Brou (Miss Bikini Spain)Gimena Gutiérrez (Miss Simpatía)Eufemia Maura (Miss Elegancia) and Laura Sophie Breuning (Miss Model of Spain), with stays for 2 persons at BlueBay Lanzarote hotel and at the BlueBay Banús hotel in Marbella.

According to Mr. Joaquín Janer, CEO of BlueBay Group, “the Hotel BelleVue Club is the perfect place to host such events, as thanks to its size, location and complete facilities – like the Show Garden, with capacity over 2,000 persons -, we are used to hold large international celebrations.”

In an unprecedented celebration during the Miss Tourism Spain, the Ambassador of Spain for the Miss Tourism World 2014 was chosen. During the convention, which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary, held on October 12 in Equatorial Guinea, Spain will be represented by Andrea Huisgen (Miss Spain 2011).
