Our 10 Top Travel Bloggers this Summer

The summer goes on, the weather is taking a downturn and we are dreaming of new holiday destinations, one thing that helps keep us going is reading about other peoples’ travel adventures. Therefore, we have culminated 10 of our favourite travel blogs that we here at Bluebay very much enjoy devouring. These bloggers have been posting some great content this summer – thank you for keeping us happy.

This blog has a great feel of energy to it, the author, Simon Peterson, is an entertaining, honest and personal writer with a great range of fascinating content from a wide range of places. If you haven’t caught the travelling bug, you will probably
catch it on this blog.

This is a thorough blog with a range of content, including travel tips on specific things that are very practical, such as how to treat motion sickness (an awful thing for a traveller to suffer). The Author has been travelling since 2009 and so has great knowledge on a range of places, and is always up to date with fresh content.

Run by a couple who adore traveling, this contains lots of practical tips and facts on visiting specific places and sites. There is lots of engagement on the blog with followers commenting on posts and so you can feel a nice sense of  community on the site. Recent time spent in Italy and Slovenia this summer means they have some great posts from there, something to check out if you are headed that way soon.

This is a great read if you want detailed accounts and stories of specific encounters, Flora’s post this summer from the Amazon is very interesting, detailed and with great images to compliment the writing and tell the story. A very inspiring bucket list as well!

From food to accommodation tips, this travel blog has a range of information. One of our favourite is a recent full budget breakdown they did on spending in Uruguay, including exact food, transport accommodation costs, what type of accommodation this was, etc. This type of post is such a great help for travellers going there and not sure how much money they will need. Well done gals, we like it a lot.

European travel focused blog with content focused around top tips, travel lists, road trips and city breaks with some great photos to go along with it. A must read if you are going to road trip around Europe this summer.

This is a great photography focused travel blog, recent posts this summer have included animals from the Arctic posts with amazing photographs. Despite the freezing weather, we are VERY jealous.

A very diverse range of content from photo centric, to travel musings, to helpful articles such as the recent, “5 Awesome New Cafes with Wifi, in South Delhi”. Such articles are of great use to other travellers as they contain really personal tips from experience which is so helpful.

Last but not least is Kit from Seek new travel, a funny, honest and engaging blog with lots of helpful content. The site has a very welcoming feel and makes you want to stay longer and read about more adventures. Big thumbs up to Kit.
