The event that has become a benchmark for jazz music in the Canaries and in all corners of the world, returns. From 11 to 15 July, the festival will take place at various venues in the municipalities of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Gran Canaria), Teguise (Lanzarote) and Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna (Tenerife)
In its second decade (it was born in 1992), this festival boasts a wide repertoire of performances by the greatest in jazz and, of course, very promising newcomers – that are now recognized artists. Artists of the most diverse styles of jazz and other similar musical styles, representing all ages and countries, among which we fins: Tete Montoliu, Bill Evans, John McLaughlin, Arturo Sandoval, Mike Stern, Diana Krall, Herbie Hancock, Joe Sample & Randy Crawford, Richard Bona, Maceo Parker, Randy Brecker, Eric Trufaz, Marcus Miller, Carlinhos Brown, Chucho and Bebo Valdes, Crusaders, Esperanza Spalding …
The artistic quality of the Canarias Jazz Festival remains unchanged, with the bill, once again, lives up to the standards of the best jazz festivals worldwide.
